The Murcia region has highlighted this Thursday at the International Tourism Fair 'Fitur 2011' its commitment to the 'Language Tourism' promoting themselves as "destination for learning the Spanish language offers a fruitful experience, cultural and fun", as said the director general of Tourism, Marina García.

Throughout the magazine's presentation held today in Madrid at the booth of the Region in Fitur 2011, presented the three regional centers where it is possible to study Castilian as a foreign language: the Hispanic Institute of Murcia, the Center for Hispanic Studies Castelar San Pedro del Pinatar and Cartagena Foundation for Teaching Language and Spanish Culture (Funcarele), all included in the Consortium for Language Tourism 'Turlingua'.

In addition, both Castelar as part Funcarele from 2007 and 2010, respectively, of the Network of Cervantes Institute Accredited Centres.

Throughout the broadcast is specified that the offer of the region includes standard courses, intensive, as annual and quarterly as well as additional sports and cultural activities that go through visits to museums, dance lessons, Spanish music concerts , sailing, canoeing and diving.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism appealed to the climate, the diversity of tourism, cultural and entertainment, the proximity of villages of the interior and the coast and the warm personality of Murcia, as the main reasons to choose idiomatic target region as a priority.

San Javier celebrates its 175 anniversary

The Municipality of San Javier held today at the stand of the Region of Murcia the 175 anniversary (1836-2011) of the town after its incorporation as a municipality.
