The Committee of Carnival in Santiago de la Ribera has appealed to local and visiting troupes to participate in the grand carnival parade to be held on Sunday 13 March and on which they hope to gather more than 3,000 people marching.
Groups interested in participating, whether the municipality or the rest of the Region of Murcia may register through the website or email www.carnavaldelaribera.es carnavaldeñarobera@hotmail.com.
All participating groups will compete for awards and cash prizes to the best troupes in local and visitor category.
The parade, one of the largest in the Region of Murcia, close the program carnival starting on Saturday March 5 with the choice of queen of the carnival, this year's title you choose more women candidates than ever.
A day after the queen will be selected child in the carnival tent installed on the esplanade Barnuevo, which will host all appointments in the festival program.
The novelty in this edition will arrive on Tuesday 8 March with the recovered "Masked Ball", dedicated to the Elderly in the municipality.
The jokes will sound on March 10 and 12 will take place on Saturday the massive popular carnival with prizes for best costumes in different categories.
The parade on Sunday 13 March by Sandoval Avenue and Mar Menor close the carnival calendar.
