The municipality of San Javier will provide financial assistance to the Musical Association of San Javier for uniformity of 45 members of the band, as well as for transfer to La Manga because of the acts and concerts within the municipality.
This was announced today the mayor of San Javier, Pepa García members of the board of the Musical Association of San Javier to which it has received in City Hall.
Pepa García I also announced that the Musical Association of San Javier is referred to as a cultural association receiving an annual subsidy in the municipal budget for 2011 "but the budget is at the expense of what happens in the plenary for approval"
The meeting was convened by the Mayor to inform the board on the attention by the City Council of the musical group demands that had been raised previously.
Pepa Garcia highlighted "the enormous efforts in times of crisis we are doing to not stop supporting our associations whose activities impact the benefit of the community."
The Musical Association of San Javier created at the Conservatory of Music in San Javier 3 years ago now has 38 members ranging in age from 10 years of the youngest musician to last 30 years.
Most are students of the Conservatory but they have also incorporated outside musicians.
It is now incorporated in the cultural activities of the municipality with performances in processions and events.
They also offer concerts in the municipality as at present through the "La Banda is going on tour" organized by the Department of Culture, which includes a series of concerts that began in February in Santiago de la Ribera and El Mirador and continue on 11 March in The Grajuela, on 25 March in Pozo Aledo, April 1 in La Manga, on May 7 in San Cayetano and October 28 in the auditorium of San Javier.
