The municipal Civil Protection of San Javier has won for the first time the distinctive SICTED, Integrated Quality System Spanish Tourism in Destinations, adding to the tourist information office in Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga, and beaches and Mistral Castillico who have already renewed their certification of quality.
The mayor of San Javier, Pepa García, Councillor of Tourism, Jesus Montesinos and the Security council, Manuel Leal collected the badges that gave the Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, in a ceremony held in Murcia, next to other entities and regional firms that have obtained this certificate created by the Ministry of Tourism.
Municipal officials shared with the Civil Protection personnel sharing with them the distinctive quality that is recognized for this service which is crucial in tourism, especially in swimming season.
The mayor, Pepa Garcia also stressed "the great effort that the Department of Tourism has been doing in recent years to increase the quality of its services, which offset each year with this kind of recognition."
The SICTED, also supported by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, is a project aimed at quality as a differentiating factor in tourism.
Adherence to this project is a demanding quality management undergoes an annual audit to determine the granting or renewal of the mark.
Near the offices of Tourism, beaches and Civil Protection Service, also received their badges several companies in the municipality as Iniesta Optics, Jewelry Manolo Martinez, Hotel Mangalán, and Fashion Sole.
