Tomorrow Friday April 1 marks one of the biggest events of the scheduled throughout the year to celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the City of San Javier, from 1836 to segregate the city of Murcia.
The event to be held at 20:30 pm
in the hall of the city council, give tribute to the families enrolled in the municipal mayors in 1836 and since then until today have been at the forefront of the Consistory.
The honorees will be 13 families, whose track has been followed until now by a research work carried out Jose Ballester, author of several books on local history of San Javier.
Their descendants will be responsible for receiving the tribute will also be provided to 30 majors, living 4, while the rest will be represented by their descendants.
Among the honorees are Jose council Meroño, first mayor of the town 175 years ago.
The act will perform for the string group of the Conservatory of Music in San Javier, serve also to recover the history of Francisco Villaescusa Shepherd, a young man from San Javier in 1922 received the Cross of Military Merit with white emblem "by an act of generosity to a fellow victim, risking his own life."
Local historian, Jose Ballester who followed the story of young soldiers, located to their descendants also will be recognized at the ceremony tomorrow, which will be chaired by the mayor of San Javier, Pepa García.
