The Louisiana bluesman, a great master of modern Swamp-blues, Kenny Neal closes on Saturday April 2nd XI Soul Music of the concert given in the tent Almansa Park at 22:00, which will present its latest Hooked On Your Love album, accompanied by his Blues Band and the Californian singer EC Scott as guest artist.
Born in New Orleans, Kenny Neal grew up in Baton Rouge whose vibrant music scene wrapped his musical initiation early marked especially by his own father, the great blues harmonica, Raful Neal, patriarch of an extended family of great musicians.
The multi-instrumentalist Kenny Neil, who worked with Buddy Guy before age 20, brings old-school blues Louisiana swamps and contemporary style, full of nuances, which translates into an exciting live as seen in his record sixth concert of the Festival de Jazz de San Javier.
Grammy Award winner and fifteen albums released since its debut in 1987 with Bio On The Bayou, renamed after its new home record (Alligator Records) and Big News from Baton Rouge, Neil Kenny has also been uploaded to the stage on Broadway, starring in the musical Mule Bone with music by Taj Mahal, in 1991.
