The municipal museum hosts from yesterday until such and such a presentation by Kim Manresa Catalan photographer named "Schools of other worlds" with which to inform the public about the reality of tens of countries around the world through the eyes of children.
The exhibition, sponsored by the CAM, together black and white photographs from countries around the world in which Kim Manresa International Award winner for UNICEF "Children in the XXI century", captured the situation of children and schooling in countries like Mali, Nepal, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Mozambique, and Palestine, among many others.
The mayor Pedro Javier Muñoz accompanied by Jose Brotons, Head of Social Work of the CAM in the Campo de Cartagena-Mar Menor, Esteban Satorres, area manager, and Juan Jesus Perez, director of the local office of CAM, visited the exhibition that offers a different perspective on the school situation in other parts of the world different from ours. "
Kim Manresa, a photographer for La Vanguardia, has traveled the world and his work has been selected by museums and most prestigious international institutions.
He has published over 30 books, among many other awards and has been a silver medal from the Society of Newspaper Design of Photojournalism, the United States.
The exhibition "Schools in other worlds," has traveled since 2006 by 25 rooms in Catalonia before embarking on a journey traveling through the rest of Spain.
