The storytelling Carpanta "The Feast of the Book" and the award of the contests of reading and writing points ended yesterday at the library events organized throughout the month of April to mark the Day of the Book in which they involving more than 5,000 people reported the mayor, Pepa García.
In total we have held 17 different activities such as drama, music, contests, exhibitions, performances, storytelling, and film among many others, all with the aim of encouraging reading.
Various local associations and municipal departments have collaborated to celebrate World Book Day "in San Javier we live in a particularly intense," said the Mayor.
The winners in the contest for "Cocktail creativity," was the young Christian Arroyo, the IES Ruiz de Alda, with "You're my fantasy," and Miriam Hernandez, the IES "Mar Menor", with "Reading is feeling."
Both received a check for 100 euros and a lot of books.
The winners, in La Manga, in competitions for reading and writing points to a "love letter to a book were Marta Alfaro, Alba Garcia and Andrea DANCEE in the various categories of points of reading and writing Belinchón Sarai.
In the rest of the municipality, the competitions had 1,300 participants and children who received their prizes, consisting of lots of books and school supplies were Jorge Conesa, the school "Sacred Heart", Pablo Marin of "Virgen de Loreto", and Jesus Garcia of "Fulgencio Ruiz."
Also two special awards were handed one to Dion Sanchez for his involvement at the Senior Center of San Javier, and another, the child Jesus Fernandez, Aideman.
