The housewives associations of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera came together to honor the mother on Sunday 1 May.
They did this by bringing together four generations of one family in the presence of the great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and daughter.
In total 64 women with large age differences that made the generational link 16 families from different municipalities.
The event held at the April Fair of Santiago de la Ribera attended the Mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia was in charge of giving recognition to women in these 16 families across the municipality that could prove with their presence the existence of four generations of women from the same family.
The families were honored Pepita García Sáez, Lorenza Martínez Albaladejo, Saez Rosario Olmos, Fina Pardo Sánchez, Remedios García Peñalver Damiana Soto, Ana Llorens Torres, Maria Sanchez Rios, Carmina Gómez Gómez, Ana María Torres Sáez, Josefina Gómez Tudela Maria Antonia Lopez Calonge, Concha Hernández Martínez, Mari Carmen Meroño Villaescusa, Marcela Pérez Cuenca, and Maria Duenas Diaz.
