Civil Guard officers have developed the operation "SERRANO", aimed at eradicating the commission of robberies and muggings, which has resulted in the dismantling of a gang and arrested two others for receiving, acquiring stolen by the effects band.
The four members of this criminal group is charged with five counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, robbery and injury, and the other two offense of receiving stolen goods.
The police action began last March, having knowledge of the commission of a robbery carried out against two elderly San Javier, which two men wearing balaclavas attacked them in public, using a high violence, were severely beaten and intimidated with a handgun fire and knives, to escape the effects of carrying value at that time and after which they fled the area quickly tied the spoils.
The Civil Guard officers initiated the development of research with the practice of a comprehensive technical inspection eye to gathering all possible information about such crimes and suspects.
After analyzing the information obtained through the police investigations carried out, the researchers were able to identify members of the band and know their way of acting, then starting a search engine of them.
Modus Operandi
The structure of this criminal organization was well defined and its members, who were fully organized, carefully chose their victims among elderly.
Once designated victims, female members were offered to them to perform household work and thus earn their trust and gain valuable information such as where they were valuables in the house, when carrying large sums of cash and which were their frequent moves.
Then the subgroup operating in this band, composed of the two male individuals, carried out the assault victims in the street.
In the robbery wore balaclavas to hide their faces, used a high violence and to intimidate victims and used small arms fire and knives, until it finally did with the effects of value and high amounts of cash.
Due to the high violence used by the band, victims of robberies suffered injuries of varying degrees.
Another line of action was to study the habits of the victims to ascertain when they were outside the house, to commit robberies in it and remove the effects of value that were inside, enjoying high chance of success because information provided by the girls in the band.
Once obtained all necessary evidence, on the morning of yesterday, 09, was carried out the operational phase of the operation, which resulted in the arrest and subsequent remand in custody of the four members of this criminal group.
During the investigation, investigating officers also proceeded to the arrest of two people for buying stolen by this band effects.
Detained
As part of this operation has proceeded to the arrest of four members of this criminal group as the alleged perpetrators of robbery with violence and intimidation, injury and robbery, and the other two (the last ones cited) as alleged perpetrators of the crime of receiving:
- Ringleader, Moroccan, 23 and living in San Javier
- Moroccan, age 25 and living in San Javier.
- Spanish, 42, resident of Torre Pacheco.
- Spanish, 27 and resident of San Javier.
- Moroccan, 58 years old and lives in San Javier.
- Morocco's 20 and lives in San Javier.
The four members of this band with a history of committing similar crimes before.
It has recovered a stolen mobile terminal in a robbery with violence and intimidation, that after being brought to justice will be returned to its rightful owner.
After a first analysis of information obtained in the investigation process, the band members were alleged authorship of five counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, injury and robbery committed in the region of the Mar Menor.
The detainees and the proceedings initiated shall be made available to the Court of Instruction No. 7 San Javier (Murcia) during the morning.
