Civil Guard officers have developed the operation "SERRANO", aimed at eradicating the commission of robberies and muggings, which has resulted in the dismantling of a gang and arrested two others for receiving, acquiring stolen by the effects band.
The four members of this criminal group is charged with five counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, robbery and injury, and the other two offense of receiving stolen goods.
The police action began last March, having knowledge of the commission of a robbery carried out against two elderly San Javier, which two men wearing balaclavas attacked them in public, using a high violence, were severely beaten and intimidated with a handgun fire and knives, to escape the effects of carrying value at that time and after which they fled the area quickly tied the spoils.
The Civil Guard officers initiated the development of research with the practice of a comprehensive technical inspection eye to gathering all possible information about such crimes and suspects.
After analyzing the information obtained through the police investigations carried out, the researchers were able to identify members of the band and know their way of acting, then starting a search engine of them.
Modus Operandi
The structure of this criminal organization was well defined and its members, who were fully organized, carefully chose their victims among elderly.
Once designated victims, female members were offered to them to perform household work and thus earn their trust and gain valuable information such as where they were valuables in the house, when carrying large sums of cash and which were their frequent moves.
Then the subgroup operating in this band, composed of the two male individuals, carried out the assault victims in the street.

- Moroccan, 58 years old and lives in San Javier.

After a first analysis of information obtained in the investigation process, the band members were alleged authorship of five counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, injury and robbery committed in the region of the Mar Menor.
