The presentation of the video "Our elders from a multicultural perspective" at the Senior Center of San Javier has opened this morning I Coexistence Week in the municipality of San Javier, organized by the Department of Social Services, with the objective raise awareness of the presence of socially vulnerable groups and the need to promote integration through the knowledge of others.
The councilman of Social Services, Maria Angeles Chum and the social worker, Alicia Balseiro presented the draft audiovisual nature involving citizens residing in the municipality of San Javier which show their testimonies and from a multicultural perspective the reality of groups such as disabled, children, women, elderly, and foreigners.
The presentation was attended by the Spanish and Chilean Donelian Alarcón Carlos Martinez, who along with the Ukrainian Ulyana Petrus, and Moroccan Hafida The Hanoumi, star in the video that speak of social and familial role of elders in their respective countries.
The project includes a discussion with the audience after the screening that takes about 15 minutes to complete with other projections as "Freaky Friday" shows in San Javier life of a person in a wheelchair, blind, and a woman who uses the Islamic headscarf or hijab.
The video will be screened Wednesday at 18:30 pm
in the civic center Príncipe de Asturias de Santiago de la Ribera.

San Javier Library will host the screening "Families binational speaking children", which collected the testimonies of children from families with parents of different nationalities residing in the municipality of San Javier.
The project includes a drawing and photography competition for young people and children with the slogan "Freaky Friday" whose awards are presented at the center "Prince of Asturias" in Santiago de la Ribera on Wednesday May 11 at 18:30 .
