The mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia and the municipal archivist, Luis Lluch presented this morning by the dossier of historical documents that the council has published on the occasion of celebrating its 175 anniversary.

Pepa García explained that this initiative is made from the municipal archive in which reproduction takes 8 sheets of major historical documents, 4 of them are written documents, in 1826 and 1836, the date of segregation, and 4 aerial photographs from 1935 and 1950, donated by the Academia General del Aire.

Among the documents included a plane figure freehand to Encañizada of La Manga made by the architect Antonio Bolarín in 1826, "an important document and that the rights of the weir was a recurrent demand of the municipality of San Javier Murcia who never yielded to an assignment that would have been an important source of revenue for the newly created municipality, "said Luis Lluch.

Pepa García explained that also includes the agreement of the municipality of Murcia in March 1836 with a favorable report on the segregation of San Javier, and the full act of the Provincial Government of the same year, which recognizes the right to segregation of San Javier and aggregation of San Cayetano.

These temporary documents, adds the oldest document of the City kept on file, covering the first municipal budget adopted in December 1836 amounting to 2060 real equivalent to about 3 euros today, "said the Mayor.

The dossier includes four aerial photographs, belonging to the photographic archive of the General Air Academy, which see very clearly what it was like Santiago de la Ribera and San Javier in 1935.

Also displayed two photographs of El Mirador and Roda taken in 1950.

The council has published 500 copies to be able to see and check the file in both municipal and public library of San Javier.

Also be distributed in schools in the municipality, and delivered in the other official events to celebrate throughout the year to celebrate the 175 anniversary.
