The Plenum of the City of San Javier has approved provisionally a new ordinance to public prices for use of facilities of the Municipal Sports Board which replaces the previous 2004, untouched since 7 years ago.
The new ordinance, which has already been approved by the Governing Board of Trustees with representation and social policy, provides in general lower than the cumulative CPI increases in the last 7 years (19%) that were not updated prices.
The ordinance only amends the annual fees paid, and includes new modes such as free for over 65 years, or a student between 18 and 25 years registered or to study at San Javier will pay 25 euros per year.
In subscriber fees keep the rest of modalities and the only rise occurs in the family from 50 to 55 euros per year.
It also extends benefits to large families in any of the sports that will receive a discount of 15 percent to 25 percent for the general class and 35 percent of the special class.
A new feature is created savings of 25 percent to people from a 33 percent disability.
Prices of regulated activities, with specialized groups will experience a rise equal to or less than 10 percent overall, the same percentage increase in which much of the many services offered by the sports medicine service.
The highest increases occurring in the rental of facilities, which continues to be affordable like renting a dirt track, tennis, paddle tennis or going from 1.8 euros to 2.9 euros from the approval of the ordinance will have a public exhibition period of 30 days.
Popular spokesman in the government team, said José Manuel Alart that a new ordinance was "reasonable and necessary."
Alart added that the new prices are "very tight and well below the actual cost, the study we have done, because the ultimate goal of the City is the health promotion of the sport."
José Manuel Alart recalled that the obligation of the City Council is "to support the provision of a service to its sustainability and to support the sport at its best with the sustainability of the resources the Council can offer" in relation to measures the current economic crisis should adopt "an exercise in responsibility."
The new ordinance was approved provisionally by the popular group in the government, the opposition Socialist party and the non-independent mayor.
