A total of 25 women have received their diplomas this morning after completing a successful workshop sewing socio-occupational association organized by the Abraham Project in collaboration with the municipality of San Javier and San Javier Parish Caritas.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, CEO of Social Affairs and Immigration Equality, Leopold Navarro, President Abraham Project, Rafael Sanchez, and the president of Caritas San Javier, Francisco Griñó were responsible for awarding diplomas course held during the month of October in the multipurpose room of Social Services located in the district of San Javier Castejón.
The initiative proposed by Abraham Project has been split into two workshops, one conducted by the municipal program Accompaniment for Social Inclusion, and another Parish Caritas, aims to equip students with the skills necessary to recycle, repair and make clothing and at the same time encourage labor market participation, and thus social inclusion.
Juan Martinez praised the social work both as Caritas Parish Project Abraham "who so actively collaborate with the City" and said the joint effort, along with local and regional authorities to make this type of courses, which among other things, facilitate labor market entry of their students.
All present agreed on the need to join forces and work together on aid, with emphasis on training, an area in which the Parish Caritas is very pleased to be working, according to its president Francisco Griñó.
"You are an example for your family and your social environment," said Rafael Sanchez, Abraham Project, the participants noted that they would come to this course without the economic considerations so far were in such activities.
