About 1,000 riders take the start of the Half Marathon Villa de San Javier at 10:00
next Sunday November 6, from the door of San Javier municipal sports to cover a 21 mile urban course with two laps on the same circuit that includes the approved Paseo Colon, parallel to the Mar Menor.
The goal will be on the track within the grounds of the municipal sports center.
The Half Marathon San Javier contained in its sixth year as a consolidated testing calendar to regional corridors that come with the aim of improving their times.
Dozens of volunteers will work for the proper development of the test by the Municipal Sports Board of San Javier, and the local club and the club Runtritón Marathon, technical organizer of the event.
Participants will receive a bag full of the corridor that includes a full kit of athletics, commemorative race T-shirt and pants, and various gifts donated by area businesses.
Receive trophies the top three categories established in the 9 men and 8 women categories.
AFEM solidarity march
The Association of Families of Mentally Ill del Mar Menor, AFEM held, also on Sunday morning, November 6, the Solidarity March I AFEM, which will depart at 10:30 am
from the esplanade Barnuevo of Santiago de la Ribera and arrival, after covering a distance of 3 miles, on the esplanade of Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar.
The march aims to raise funds for the operation of the Association through the sale of numbers to 5 euros, is also a fun family atmosphere and thus includes an important section of animation from the start, but especially on arrival at the esplanade of Lo Pagan, with different activities including the drawing of objects donated by the Murcia player Nicolas Almagro.
AFEM, provisionally located in Santiago de la Ribera, until the completion of works in its permanent headquarters located in Lo Pagan, operates in two municipalities to develop support and therapeutic work with the mentally ill, as well as relatives of these patients, and in campaigns social awareness to the disease.
