The Municipal been approved unanimously by all political groups, the application of a credit to the Official Credit Institute, ICO, amounting to EUR 1,151,597.89, with repayment to 3 years to pay vendor invoices the City for the year 2010 and some dated 2011.
The operation of indebtedness that has favorable reports and Treasury intervention is performed pursuant to Royal Decree Law 8 / 2011 that allows access to the ICO credit lines for the cancellation of debts of local bodies and autonomous companies.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez Pastor said that this operation is to lighten the payment to the City Council suppliers, mostly small and medium enterprises, so as not to suffer delays in their collections and thus alleviate the situation that many of these businesses may be experiencing as a result of the current economic crisis.
