The Street Art Festival Imagine the Department of Youth organized the municipality of San Javier for 8 years already on the street their catalog of the 2011 edition.
The format chosen for this occasion is a convenient block which documents the 33 actions carried out throughout the year with pictures and explanatory texts of the authors.
The Councillor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa and photographer Salvi Vivancos, the head of the Imagine team coordinators are also part of Alejandra Olmos Martinez and Santiago presented the catalog that includes 75 photographs of Selu, the Class Aver, and Salvi's own Vivancos.
The presentation took place in the imagined space, located in the basement of the municipal auditorium where the audience could enjoy the screening of a documentary produced by the collective Higway 43 on Imagina 2011.
Masegosa Estíbaliz appreciated the work developed by the team coordinator and technicians of the Department and noted that it is an increasingly participatory festival.
The mayor of Youth encouraged participation by proposing ideas and projects ahead of a new edition.
The participation numbers like throws of the 6000 people who have taken part in one way or another in the Festival since 2008 when they decided to opt for the street as single stage, as revealed Salvi Vivancos.
Many of the actions included in the program have local groups such as associations, art schools or schools, as actors or recipients of the art object.
The coordinator of the festival also stressed the importance of Imagine as a benchmark for emerging art, designed for the street, as evidenced by the interest shown in regional, national and even foreign participated in artistic activities and workshops that developed in this issue.
The catalog whose cover of David Belando, occupies the sign of the edition of Imagine 2011 that won a national award in the last call of Spanish Graphic Design Awards Anuaria will be distributed in regional art centers and municipal youth information offices Murcia Region and will be available to the public in the office of Youth of San Javier.
