A total of 24 unemployed people between 24 and 45 years of age, have accessed the employment workshop held in San Javier became student-workers with pay during the 12 month duration of the workshop, whose total budget amounts to 528,416 Euros funded entirely by the Regional Employment and Training.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, accompanied by the councilman of Commerce and Employment, Pedro Lopez, and the director general of SEF, Gines Martinez filed this morning in the municipality of San Javier the workshop, which starts next December 28 and that aims to train and insert into the labor market to these people, in cultural activities and electricity.
The Mayor reported that 12 students will be trained in the form of electricity and work reviewing all low-voltage power lines of public buildings in the municipality.
The other 12 will work with the entertainment activities that celebrate the various councils, such as workshops, campaigns to encourage reading, and others.
Juan Martinez noted the importance of this initiative, "especially at a time when our priority is to fight to reduce the number of unemployed in our municipality."
The head of the SEF, Gines Martinez also stressed the "social function" of this type of workshop "in addition to form, and enter the labor market to students, also has implications for community service."
Students who come from lists of applicants for employment of the SEF, charge a monthly salary equivalent to 150% of minimum wage.
The course, which will begin later this year, has a director and two monitors selected through a public call.
Ginés Martínez reported that 65 percent of all students participating in this type of workshop labor market access after private, according to regional statistics of last year.
