The City of San Javier today hosts the exhibition "Christmas to the sound of the tambourine" showing 160 tambourines made and decorated by 40 artists craft of various trades belonging to the Guild of Handicraft Regional Multiple, Murcia, organized by the Department of Trade and Crafts who leads Pedro Lopez.
The exhibition can be seen in the lobby of City Hall to the Epiphany is an original Christmas card using this tool, become a cultural symbol in the Region of Murcia which was included in folk music.
Births, virgins, angels, Christmas prints, nativity scenes, floral motifs, and even comics that collect the path of the Magi to Bethlehem can be seen in the exhibition that opened this morning the Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez by the council Crafts, Pedro Lopez.
The tambourine, a symbol of Christmas, is a percussion instrument that is already on record among the Jewish people, Arabic, Egyptian, Greek or Roman.
This instrument, so modest, it has become imperative, used even in orchestras and indisputable in popular music.
