Equality Councilwoman Celia Martinez yesterday gave prizes school drawing competition "A woman working" in a crowded ceremony held in the hall of the City Council to coincide with International Women's Day.
The competition, organized by his department, a total of 6 schools in the municipio.El jury took into account the technical, but above all the creative interpretation of equality between sexes, selected a total of 24 works whose authors received a diploma recognition.
Contest winners were Helen Martinez of the school "Joaquín Carrión," first, followed by Alicia Carrillo of "Our Lady of Loreto" and Marta Comas school "Fulgencio Ruiz." The jury decided to create three that went to Beatriz accesit Hernandez's "Fulgencio Ruiz," Daniela Lorente, the same center, and Jacquelin Morcillo the school "El Mirador".
Women firefighters, police officers, plumbers, military, mechanical in a bike shop, doctors, farmers, workers in a warehouse, or a fruit, are in the imagination of children mostly between 6 and 11 years when have to draw a woman working as requested by the Department of Equality in the competition which aimed to bring the issue of working women and equal opportunities for grade school children.
