Christopher Leon Garcia, Malaga, I won yesterday Painting Contest Outdoors "Villa de San Javier" held in Santiago de la Ribera, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of San Javier, with the participation of 53 artists from different parts of Spain.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez was asked to deliver the prize of 1,300 euros to the painter from Malaga who printed his realistic look at a painting of boats stranded on the shore of the Mar Menor.
The second prize of 850 euros, was for the young Christopher Hernandez of La Palma, Cartagena, with an original piece of work on a shore of the Mar Menor, carved on a piece of lead.
She Elche, Maria Teresa Dura Sepulcre looked to the sea from one side of the fish market, with an oil painting that took the third prize of 600 euros.
The awards ceremony was held at the Municipal Museum of San Javier, with the assistance of the Cultural Industries CEO, John A.
Lorca, and the director of the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia, Juan Garcia, who formed the jury by the Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García, Aurora Lopez and the mayor's degree in Fine Arts teacher, Remedios Ruiz, with the expectation of painters and the public who filled the hall.
The artists could work in his paintings until 18:00 h.
when given the works in the museum for the assessment of the jury, which awarded a Special Mention Manuel Sanchez Jimenez.
In the junior category, Angel Paredes, Monica Juste, Jana Cazalla Roque took the first prizes of painting material.
There were also Special Jury Mention for the girl Marina Moreno.
The winning pictures will become property of the City of San Javier and be part of the exhibition can be seen from tomorrow April 24 to May 10 with all the pictures submitted to the municipal museum exhibition in San Javier.
The mayor of Culture, Inmaculada Garcia agreed with the rest of the jury to highlight the quality and variety of works presented and the event's success with over 50 participants, among whom were painters of Caceres, Valencia, Madrid, Albacete, Malaga , Granada and Alicante, among other places.
