The Department of Environment is continuing its craft workshops with recycled material, which this time has led to the Home for the Elderly of San Javier, to prepare for Mother's Day.
In two sessions, with the help of the instructor, Marisa Ballester, the largest in San Javier could see that almost any material can have a second life, said the Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez, who shared the workshop with the elderly.
With plastic bottles, drink cans, pots rings, paper, cardboard, and even used coffee capsules, participants in the workshop got make lamps, bracelets, necklaces, purses, flowers, pins, and many other objects.
The workshop was held from 17 to 19 hours on 25 April and Wednesday 2 May.
