The trees that mark the Aviation Avenue and Mar Menor, between San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera, called "shadow Bananas" are being targeted for the first time, a treatment from the council of Parks and Gardens with an antifungal compound according to the Councillor for Parks and Gardens, Celia Martinez.
The mayor oversaw the treatment is applied to the trunk injection to combat a disease that is created by fungi that causes them to lose leaves all year round and not just one, as befits its deciduous nature.
Councillor for Parks and Gardens, Celia Martinez explained that the fungal component injected into the trunks has a great effect in these cases and that together with the tree pruning done in the past two months, we expect optimal results for recovering the foliage that characterizes these specimens, suitable for creating shadow spaces.
