A group of 10 Civil Defence volunteers in San Javier participated last weekend in a workshop on the use and operation of the ambulance that provides this service in order to acquire the status of personnel staffing the ambulance .
In the last 3 days, the volunteers have received theoretical and practical lessons on the roles of the provision of the ambulance, the most common warnings that they will find, immobilization and mobilization of the victim, care and treatment to the patient, and emergency vehicle driving, among others.
Volunteers who have attended classes and have made relevant practices must pass a test before they can offer their services as volunteer ambulance personnel.
Volunteers perform such training in their spare time to improve their skills in situations where they are required to provide a service and not altruistically perceive different from other charting the personal satisfaction of helping the community.
The Association of Civil Protection Volunteers of San Javier has a line aimed at training volunteers so they are as prepared as possible before any disaster situation in which they could claim.
