A total of 21 boys and girls under 30 unemployed have collected this morning his diploma as collectors of horticultural products and agri-food, after having passed a course of 90 hours theoretical and 18 practical labor practices, organized by FEPEX ( Spanish Federation of Associations of Products Exporters of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers and Live Plants) with the collaboration of the Local Development Agency of San Javier, and the company Verdimed.
The councilman of Commerce and Employment, Pedro Lopez presented the diplomas along with John Basil Brown, commercial director Aforcod, a consultant who taught the course, and Miguel Moreno, head of Human Resources Verdimed, agricultural company whose facilities have undergone the practice .
The presentation of diplomas was held in the auditorium of the Museum of San Javier.
The mayor Pedro Lopez was confident that "this course will be opened to new possibilities, even some of you have already gotten a job."
Lopez stressed the importance of agriculture in the municipality's economy and the challenge of employment department "so that this ongoing support both agriculture and finding employment for our youth."
The council also stressed the cooperation of the business with the participation of Verdimed.
The representative of Verdimed, Miguel Moreno highlighted the commitment of the company with the local population and corporate social responsibility Verdimed to participate in this course giving facilities for students to learn from practice.
Moreno stressed the importance of such courses especially at a time like the present.
For his part, Juan Basilio, Aforcod, congratulated the students in the hope "that meets the objective and all you can find a job."
