The bobbin lace was featured during the day yesterday in San Javier where more than 200 lace-makers gathered at the Ninth Meeting organized by the local ABOMAR and the City of San Javier through the Department of Commerce.
The meeting, held in the Plaza of Spain lasted all morning with an exhibition of works in the lobby of City Hall, while the fast moving their bobbin lace before the wondering eyes of the public, in the square.
As usual in such meetings were also set up sales thread, bobbins, and other developments in the art of lace.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, Councilman Crafts and Trade, Pedro Lopez and ABOMAR president, Carmen Bautista were responsible for opening and welcome the participants arrived from different parts of the Region of Murcia and La Mata, Guardamar, Pilar de la Horadada, Rojales, Alicante and, among other sources.
