Councillor for Tourism and Wildlife Antonio Martinez picked up yesterday in Madrid the two flags "Q" Quality that will fly on the beaches Mistral, La Manga del Mar Menor, and Castillico of Santiago de la Ribera.
Quality certification awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (ICTE) were delivered at a ceremony held at the Palacio de Congresos in Madrid which was chaired by Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria.
The mayor of Tourism, Antonio Martinez said "the commitment that the City of San Javier is doing to improve the quality of our beaches as evidenced by these certificates is to assume and maintain quality standards in cleaning services, surveillance and security."
In this sense, Martinez reported that the municipality of San Javier has also received 4 blue flags for its beaches.
One of them will share space with the "Q" on the beach of La Manga Mistral, which also will fly in Tabal Bank, on the slope of the Mediterranean.
In Santiago de la Ribera, also feature Castillico Beach Blue Flag Beach and Columbus.
The Councillor for Tourism, said that this year "the effort has been twofold, because in addition to still choose to keep the" Q "Quality we again apply after 3 years without doing so, the popular Blue Flag, which demands high standards levels of quality across the beach environment as well as sand and water. "
