The Department of Tourism and Beaches enabled 3 shower-dress, which together with the 9 existing in the bars of the seafront, public use, provide service to beach users and the general public, in Santiago de la Ribera.
The new toilets, clothes are operational from June 1 to October 1 next, from 06:30 h.
to 19:00 h., 7 days a week.
Each unit has two dwellings, one with toilet, sink, running water, wastewater treatment sewer utility, and other apparel conditioning especially for people with disabilities or physical disabilities.
The Councillor for Tourism, Antonio Martinez explained that this measure is intended to eliminate chemical toilets (portable) of beaches whose design and functionality makes them more suitable in specific moments of agglomeration of the public where it is impossible to provide conventional medical service, and not to serve long-term.
Martinez added that since the Department of Tourism is working to improve services and image of our beaches, making them competitive locations, quality, and user accessible for anyone with physical disabilities.
In this regard, he recalled the existence of walkways and shaded canopied platforms, on beaches, and the availability of water for bath seats, which can apply at any checkpoint beaches.
