San Javier will have its first Festival of Bands to be held on Saturday 30 June, organized by the Department of Culture and Cultural Association Musician-San Javier, with the Band of the Conservatory of San Javier as hosts, and bands Alhama and San Javier as guests.
The councilman of Culture, Inmaculada García, the president of Musician-Cultural Association of San Javier, Gloria Bello, and the new director of the Conservatory Band, Luis Ramon Rodriguez presented this morning the festival beginning with a parade of the participating groups at 19:30 h.

The Gala Festival of Bands of Music "Villa de San Javier" will begin at 20:30 h.
in the Almansa Park Auditorium with free admission.
The brand new local band director, Luis Ramon Rodriguez, who will take care of it coinciding with the Festival, said the training program that will interpret the varied and fun, including pasodobles, symphonic music, and popular.
To dismiss the gala, in which each band will play three pieces of music is planned joint action with the "Canto a Murcia" with which closed the concert.
The councilman of Culture, Inmaculada Garcia welcomed the work being done by students and faculty of the Conservatory of San Javier for his social involvement, as well as parents of students, which he left Musician-Cultural Association which has driven this festival.
Garcia praised the quality and motivation musical Conservatory, where in addition to the band, chamber groups have emerged, quartets, or a group of early music.
Gloria Bello noted the enthusiasm with which we face this Festival and made an invitation to the public to go to the Municipal Auditorium and enjoy the performances of the participating bands.
The Conservatory Band was formed in 2008 in the Municipal School of Music led by parents of students.
Currently consists of 45 musicians aged between 11 and 40, all students at the school where there are groups of adults.
La Banda, which is common in local events, has also conducted performances outside the municipality.
A novel aspect is the incorporation of unusual instruments in bands like the bass or cello.
