The Department of Volunteer of the City of San Javier and the Association of University Graduates in Education EducoYa held last June 20 on Active Ageing a talk aimed at the general population and in particular the elderly, in the civic center "Prince of Asturias "Santiago de la Ribera.
The talk is part of the local volunteer program coincides with the celebration of 2012 as European Year on Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity.
The presentations were made by the social workers association and collegiate EducoYa the Social Educators Association of the Region of Murcia.
The talks, which ended in a lively discussion with the audience, addressed issues such as aging and healthy living, false beliefs and myths about aging, the importance of intergenerational relationships, participation and volunteering, communication, sex education, and self esteem.
