The Department of Volunteer San Javier Town Hall brought together all the volunteers and organizations who participated in the many activities held throughout the year at the annual meeting of volunteers held in La Manga on Saturday.
The Volunteer councilors, Catherine Perez, and Social Services, Francisca Naranjo, who shared the day with the volunteers, they appreciated the work done so selflessly throughout the year.
The meeting served also to promote awareness and exchange of experiences between volunteers and the participating associations and to gather proposals for next year, said Councilwoman Volunteer, Catherine Perez.
The day began with a ferry trip from Santiago de la Ribera to La Manga where they were met by the Councillor for Tourism and village headman Antonio Martinez thanked the volunteers for their work.
Once there they went to the library where A video summary of the activities of the Department in recent years, and an evaluation of what they'd like to volunteer next year.
After lunch and an afternoon of beach, the group returned by ferry to Santiago de la Ribera.
