The Italian pianist Giovanni Mirabassi and "Renegade Creation", one of the best supergroups emerged from years in the jazz-rock fusion, inaugurated tomorrow, Friday July 6 the XV Festival de Jazz de San Javier 2012 which will go great stars of jazz world until 28 July, over 20 concerts to be offered in the 11-night program.
Guitarists Michael Landau, Robben Ford combine their extraordinary talents to the bassist, the usual Yelow Jackets, Jimmmy Haslip, and drummer Gary Novak, who was a member of Chick Corea Elektric Band in the supergroup "Renegade Creation" that names his acclaimed album presentation.
A job that each of these four giants of music veterans has the role to satisfy their fans, and which together can generate a new legion of followers.
"Renegade Creation" provides the opportunity to enjoy the best blues-rock guitar giants, Ford and Landau whose very recently found in an epic dialogue than any guitar lover should miss.
The Californian Robben Ford, has a long career from his tour with the band of Miles Davis, both collaborations and solo with his own compositions.
Michael Landau is one of the guitarists claimed, by artists like Pink Floyd, BB King, Ray Charles, Miles Davis or even the addition of leading an extensive discography.
The direct shock "Renegade Creation" would not be the same without American jazz bassist and jazz fusion, Jimmy Haslip, one of the most sought after bassists in the world's best musicians, whose amazing technical mastery lives with his southpaw status without change, therefore, the position of the strings of their instruments.
Haslip is one of the great specialists of fretless bass, but also stands on acoustic bass, electric bass and electric bass.
The quartet is completed by drummer Gary Novak spectacular former member of Chick Corea Elektric Band, which also has played with stars such as Anita Baker, David Sanborn, Natalie Cole, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, or Alanis Morissette, among others.
The Renegade blues-rock of Creation will be preceded by the sound of Italian pianist Giovanni European Mirabassi presented in training Gianluca Renzi Trio Lukmil Perez on bass and on drums.
Based in Paris, Mirabassi is a self-taught musician who learned by listening to Bud Powell, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson and Enrico Pieranunzi, his main influence.
Mirabassi noted for his brilliant sense of melody and interpretive sensitivity.
Since winning the "Grand Prix" Best Soloist at the International Jazz Avignon, in 1996, has released several albums, the latest being "Forward", recorded in Cuba, dedicated to the revolutionary music, with themes as "I'm staying" or "Farewell," "The Partisan" immortalized by Leonard Cohen or "Gracias a la vida" Mercedes Sosa, elected official melody Jazz Festival of San Javier.
