The smile of the great Miles Davis raised about the Almansa Park Auditorium in San Javier which pays tribute morning a set of contemporary jazz stars worked and learned with the great trumpeter whose sound reminiscent entitled Miles Smiles, also named the Davis recorded album in 1967.
The supergroup formed around the memory of Miles Davis is composed of some of the best jazz musicians in the world as Wallace Roney (trumpet) who worked with the Jazz Messengers, and maintained his relationship with Davis, with whom he recorded "Miles Davis and Quincy Jones at Montreux "from 1985 until the death of her former grand master in 1991.
DeFranceso Joey, one of the most popular organists in the Hammond B3 organ, can remember how when he was 17 he was recruited by Miles Davis with whom he toured Europe and recorded "Amandla".
He also participated in the recording drummer Omar Hakim, a veteran of "Weather Report" where he arrived after his apprenticeship with Miles Davis with whom he also recorded "Tutu".
Hakim was also recruited by Sting for his first solo album "The Dream of the Blue Turtles".
Another of the great musicians in addition to this project is Darryll Jones, bassist for The Rolling Stones since 1993 when he replaced Bill Wyman, who also worked with Miles Davis and other artists like Sting and Peter Gabriel.
The supergroup is completed by Rick Margitza (tenor and soprano sax) who turned to Davis and participated in the recording albums like "Live Around the World" and "Live in Montreux" and with guitarist Larry Coryell also had the opportunity to learn and share friendship with the genius Miles Davis, presented by a mutual friend.
Guitarist Larry Coryell was part of a small group of musicians, among whom was the drummer Al Foster, who recruited Davis to record at Columbia Studios in New York, a job that was never edited.
