The mayor of San Javier Juan Martínez and Environment Councillor Celia Martinez today presented the municipal program organized on the occasion of the European Mobility Week, to be held from 16 to 22 September and aims to "promote efficient transport to improve mobility and reduce pollution and noise, "said the Mayor.
Celia Martinez explained that this program "participatory and inclusive", which devotes a session adapted to mobility, it is also intended to gather information from users to work in municipal plans and measures on mobility.
Promoting awareness of cycling, urban public transport, and efficient driving are the objectives of all the activities planned by the Department of Environment, explained the mayor.
Environment Councillor explained that the program starts on Sunday 16 with activity "Pedaling between two seas" consisting of a cycle route from San Javier to Santiago de la Ribera to board the ferry and follow the route to La Manga sandy area where Anse technicians talk about the importance of conserving local dunes.
