The European Mobility Week, which takes place in San Javier organized by the Department of Environment, spent yesterday afternoon with disabilities to an activity in which dozens of people of all ages.
The event, which was held during the afternoon in the Plaza of Spain, was a circuit that reproduced the difficulties encountered by people with disabilities in their daily mobility.
The Councillor for the Environment, Councillor Celia Martinez and Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa opened the circuit which included managing walkers, electric vehicles for the disabled, wheelchairs and adapted bicycles, which were facilitated by Orthopedics Los Arcos.
The activity was organized by Fundamifp with Aidemar collaboration, with the aim of showing the problems of people with disabilities and contribute to its improvement, according to Councilwoman Celia Martinez said.
The European Mobility Week which takes place from Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 September, morning turns his attention to public employees who are invited to go to work by bike, public transport or on foot, with a breakfast and a talk.
In the afternoon, from 17:30 h., Spain Square hosts a bike repair shop, and an exhibition on ancient crafts that were developed with bike, to finish with a children's entertainment "Moving in the right direction" , in which children can help two time travelers who will come to solve a problem on the planet Earth.
