The mayor of San Javier made these statements during his visit this morning to work on the pumping station No. 6, La Manga, accompanied by the Councillor for Public Services, José Miguel Luengo, Councillor for Tourism and Beaches, Antonio Martinez and the newly appointed mayor of La Manga pedánea, Rosa Dos Santos Soler.
Juan Martinez also announced already drafted action projects in the other three pumping stations that complete the general sewage system in La Manga, and that the 2013 budget includes provision of 178.870euros to undertake the renovation of Station No. 5.
The Mayor moved that already works in the new tender for maintenance of all pumping stations, which will be more demanding, whose departure has increased by 20 percent, with about 130,000 per year.

Luengo recalled that all these actions are part of the Infrastructure Plan of the sewerage and drinking water in the Manga del Mar Menor which began to develop in his department since the beginning of the current term and will involve a total investment of 6 million euros.

For now we have undertaken the most urgent in the pumping stations, with an investment of 522,000 euros which will add another 178,879 euros budgeted for station No. 5, and 130,000 euros for the new hire to maintain all stations, the mayor recalled.
