The City of San Javier and the Coastal recent withdrawal accumulated rubbish, and cleaned up public shoreline on the island of Perdiguera.
The collaboration between the two administrations allowed two crews, provided by the Coastal, with 5 workers each, spit on the island, supported by the City of San Javier which provided the necessary infrastructure for the movement of personnel, transportation and management waste, with the participation of the departments of Beaches, Environment, Transport and Civil Protection.
A specialized company dealt with the management of waste removed to what is also counted on the collaboration of the company that runs the ferry between La Manga and San Javier and Tomas Maestre harbor.
Costas, already cleaned the island in the middle of last summer, has been willing to cooperate with the city at all times, according to the Councillor for Tourism and Beaches, Antonio Martinez, who initiated the talks for months with the other administrations to jurisdictional reach agreement on security, cleaning, and maintenance of the island, which is privately owned and on which relapse several figures of environmental protection, as well as in the maritime zone of the municipality.
The Coastal Authority has placed posters in stating that it is forbidden to throw any garbage.
Looking ahead to the summer, will launch an awareness campaign among potential Perdiguera island visitors, or others, to arriving in private boats, and coastal areas and urban non-protected, to help clean environment.
