Carnival in Santiago de la Ribera and has new look for its 25th anniversary, a year which also coincides with the celebration of the 175th Anniversary of Santiago de la Ribera and presented with several new features as explained President of the Commission Jose Carrio during the poster presentation winner at a ceremony attended by the Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, the council of Celebration, Gloria Cuenca and the Councillor for Tourism, Antonio Martinez.
For the occasion we have chosen, for the first time, a photomontage including carnival mask and a distinctive feature of the town as a spa, designed by Beatriz Naranjo, Pinto, who wrote one of the 50 works submitted to the contest endowed with 300 euros.
Among the main novelties of this edition of the Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera to be held from 9 to 17 February, I highlighted the Regional Contest of Choreography, a day of parades and coexistence between rocks, a tribute to all the carnival queens in its 25 year history, and placement for the first time, 3,000 chairs in the path of the big parade.
As announced by the President of the Commission of Carnival Troupes of Santiago de la Ribera, Jose Carrio far troupes have registered 25 visitors for the big parade alongside local and exceed 40.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez congratulated the committee and all the extras for the success of the Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera thanks for a job well done that now allows celebrate its 25th anniversary with expectations close of his statement as an event of interest Regional Tourism.
