Assertiveness and gender equality have been the subjects of the three winners of the I microstories Microstories Contest "About Women" which organized the Department of Equality to mark the International Day of Working Women.
Luz Maria Leira, Galicia won first prize of 175 euros for "The Recipe"; Ines Vazquez, Leon will receive 125 euros second prize for his story "The Princess", and Michelangelo Carcelén, of Toledo, 100 euro third prize for "Nondiscrimination".
The winning entries can be read together with the other 400 microstories microrrelatossobrelamujer.blogspot.com submitted to the contest, created by the competition for the publication of works that have been sent from all over Spain.
The remoteness prevented winners would come to receive their prizes when they were announced in a concert by the Choir of White Voices Music Conservatory of San Javier, with a repertoire prepared for the commemoration of 8M.
The Department of Equality held a week of activities with a youth video forums, psychology workshop "Know yourself", and official events taking place today with the reading of the Manifesto Institutional read the mayor, Juan Martinez.
The reading of the manifesto will be held at the beginning of a meal of coexistence involving dozens of women in the municipality, in Santiago de la Ribera, which also present the award August M 2013 that this year went to María José Jiménez Ballester.
