The Department of Environment commemorates World Forestry Day tomorrow, to be held tomorrow March 21, with various activities for the little ones to start the morning in the school garden school "Severo Ochoa", San Javier.
The garden, which opened the same day last year, will be the subject of some decoration work environment for schoolchildren themselves, within the activity "Decorum my garden."
In the afternoon, at 17:15 in the Plaza of Spain, will receive their awards in the competition "Green I want you green" about caring nature that have participated in the kindergarten and primary students from different schools of the municipality .
Upon delivery of the prizes, start the activity "My tree-marking" in which the audience participants, who may be of any age, will leave their mark with hands soaked in paint for children, or messages of commitment to protecting of environment and forests, the trees that you previously made the same audience.
World Water Day
The Department of Environment forward a couple of days the celebration of World Water Day, celebrated on March 22 with a visit from some 80 schools in the municipality of La Casa del Agua, in Santomera.
Students from the school "Severo Ochoa", responded to the invitation of the Department of Environment conducted among schools in the municipality, so they could know this center to disseminate the culture of water where they saw footage on the importance of Water, an exhibition of models of reservoirs with moving water, and a large model with all the Segura Basin in relief.
Also participated in a series of experiments like magic faucet, the water basin, or inverted clock, among others, those who learned fun.
