The Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez delivered yesterday collage contest awards "Green I want you green" held on the occasion of World Forestry Day involving children aged 5, 6 and 7 years of the schools in the municipality.
Participants had to make a collage with objects from nature such as leaves or flowers, forming a purpose related to trees or forests.
The jury praised the originality and creativity of the work and its relationship with the theme.
The first prize went to Laura Fernandez Thomas 2nd Elementary school of "El Mirador", the second prize to Daniel Garcia Gea of ​​1 Primary School "El Mirador", and the third for Ana Tárraga Garre 5 years Children from the school "Sacred Heart of Jesus."
The girl Rosa Torres Yepes of 2 Primary School "The Mirdor" received special mention.
After the awards ceremony held at the Plaza of Spain, the Department of Environment prepared the activity "My tree-marking" that began with the collective production of a recycled cardboard tree in which the smallest enjoyed leaving the footprint hands with paints of various colors, and messages about environmental protection.
The Department of Environment gave a shower and a magnet, related to recycling, to all participants.
