The Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez and CEO of Social Policy, Leopoldo Navarro opened the photo exhibition "Under One Sun" which you can see up to 14 June in San Javier Library on the occasion of the Week of Environment held in San Javier.
Celia Martinez, who also heads the Department of Women and Equality recalled a chance to catch this exhibition which shows the situation of women from around the world in a year in which the theme of World Environment Day wants to disproportionate emphasis on the food waste in developed countries face the situation of malnutrition and shortages in other parts of the world.
The exhibition, designed by Lina Jimenez, conducted through the Institute of Women, 30 photographs complaint the situation of discrimination against women and calls for the implementation of the necessary measures to facilitate their incorporation into all areas of life .
The exhibition includes images of women around the world grouped into different topics ranging from motherhood, the Islamic headscarf, the identity, the shortage of goods like water.
The exhibition is open until 14 June in San Javier Library during opening hours of the library.
