The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez attended today's final of the guided tours of civilians to the General Air Academy in which some 500 people were involved.
The visits, organized by the AGA and the city of San Javier, are part of the 125th Anniversary of Santiago de la Ribera, in which the military, which was so crucial for the development of the town, has a strong presence.
The mayor accompanied the 100 people who formed the group in this last visit in which as in the previous three were able to learn about running a business day military center has aroused much curiosity among neighbors, and even among foreign community in the area, do not want to miss the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and photographed in some of the devices used for pilot training.
The visits have been made on a Friday coinciding with the solemn hoisting of the flag and a military parade, one of the attractions of a day in which AGA also opens the doors of its museum, full of history and curiosities such as the Spanish flag astronaut Pedro Duque paced the room, and gave a visit to the military compound.
