The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, the Councillor for Education, Catalina Perez and the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Development and Training of the UMU, Fernando Martin presented this morning in the city of San Javier the four courses of the Sea International University held this Summer in San Javier in a ceremony attended by the directors of two of the courses to be taught in San Javier, Professor of Art History at the University of Murcia, Maria Grin and Juan Antonio Valverde.
San Javier hosts two of the classic courses in this office, such as those relating to the Mar Menor, which this year will address the lagoon as "biohazardous scientific and cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia", and that includes visits to the Institute of Oceanography and weirs, and the course "High performance in basketball," which will include coaches from all over Spain in active and will be attended by former player, Joseph John Arlauckas, Teledeporte commentator.
Maria Grin co-directs the course "Cultural heritage. Resource management and performance analysis", which will discuss the water heritage, archaeological, or on the tourism value of natural and cultural heritage as an opportunity in times of crisis.
The course is conducted by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, whose architecture professor, José María López will talk about setting up La Manga in his paper "The colonization of the dunes".
Juan Antonio Valverde leads the fourth year, held for the first time in San Javier which address it "The education of the emotions through the stories" which will focus on the ability of stories to show us how to manage with something as complicated as emotions, its director said adding that it is a very practical and interactive course in which students create and have fun at the same time.

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the summer courses, the City of San Javier will facilities for lodging to students who come from outside and access to local resources such as sports facilities and swimming pool.
The vice president of Strategic Development and Training of the UMU, Fernando Martin welcomed the participation of the City of San Javier, "where the UMU has one of its campus" in the development of the summer courses, and recalled the 20 percent discount in the price of courses for students and people who are active in the UMU-mail, so that the price of 80 euros from 60 euros would pass courses.
