The sound of bagpipes that first accompanied the image of St. James became an emotional tribute to the Galician during the procession yesterday in Santiago de la Ribera.
In the morning, with a black ribbon on the banner, pipers band sang a mournful melody in the offering of a bouquet of flowers in mourning was performed before the image of Santiago in the parish church in memory of those killed in the train accident in Santiago de Compostela.
Mass in honor of the patron who attended the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, and the government delegate in Murcia, Joaquin Bascuñana, Colonel AGA director, Emilio Gracia, mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, and the rest of the municipal corporation, was especially emotional for collective memory to the victims, dead and injured, the railway accident, and messages of solidarity and mourning of the authorities.

Preceded by the homecoming queen, and followed by the authorities, the image of St. James, through the streets in procession down to the esplanade Barnuevo that launched the fireworks, which yesterday went into the sea before return to the church escorted by pipers.
The City of San Javier begins today the first of three days of mourning decreed by the Government of Spain in which there will be no institutional events, and calls for a silent demonstration today at 12:00 h.
