José Antonio Mateo Florez, "Matthew" exposed until next September 10 in La Manga del Mar Menor a set of works made with the technique "Grapel" which gives its name to the sample and it was created by himself using as a base a movie radiography.

With these tones "paints" his paintings this artist from Puebla de Sanabria, based in Madrid whose profession as a maintenance technician in a hospital and his search for new materials and artistic techniques led him to discover the possibilities of the resulting X-ray film a new technique named, in 1979, as Grapel (recorded on film).
Matthew, started young with oils, watercolors and drawings pointillist but soon began to research and test materials, through the abstract on canvas and wood, and artistic transformation of objects.
His work comprises more than 200 pieces that have been exposed to the public on multiple occasions, highlighting the large format monumental works.
