Groups of the Region of Murcia, Aragon and Andalusia participate in the XXV National Folklore Meeting to be held on Saturday August 31 and Sunday September 1 in San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera.
Participating groups are Songs and Dances of San Javier Mar Menor; Association Uruel Jota Group, Teruel, Our Lady of Fuensanta, the rock orchard Celery, Patino, Songs and Dances Torre del Mar, Malaga; and Songs and Dances El Pinar, the rock orchard El Caldero, San Pedro del Pinatar.
The Meeting program begins on Saturday August 31 at 19:00 h.
with a parade of the participating groups from Spanish Aviation Avenue to the Plaza of Spain where there will be the official reception, placement of flags and a display of dances.
The group of "old glories" composed by the founders and first generations of the Chorus and Dance Group of San Javier, created in 1968, which is going back up on stage to celebrate the 25th Anniversary Meeting will start Saturday at 22:30 h .
the first gala in which all groups will perform.
To mark the 125th anniversary of Santiago de la Ribera, the meeting is moved to that location on Sunday where there will be a parade of groups at 20:00 h.
by the Paseo Colon and Avenida Barnuevo Sandoval to the esplanade where he held a gala closing at 21:00 pm.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez thank the group of Songs and Dances of San Javier Mar Menor his leading role in the meeting organized by the group itself along with the Department of Culture, with the delivery of a gift at the end of the first gala the meeting which celebrates 25 years of existence.
Meanwhile the group has celebrated with new costumes which premiered at the Gala in their group owner, and some undisclosed surprise addition to the location and invitation to dance again to those who were at the origin of the Songs and Dances San Javier since 1968.
A total of 29 dancers who will relocate huertanos suit and vegetable garden, 30 and 40 years later, to participate in the XXV meeting has already generated great excitement.
