Fields highlights the "vocation of service" officers from the local police (03/09/2013)

The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, highlighted today during the commemoration of the local police in San Javier, in honor of St. Gregory the Great, the "vocation of service" officers from the local police, and stressed that , specifically in San Javier, the 70 members of the body serve the needs of more than 32,000 citizens residing in the town, becoming "cornerstone of the security and protection of the rights of citizens."

In his speech, the Minister praised the members of the local police of the municipality, as members of the body, assume a "professional engagement based on strong values, to be carried out prudently and strength, using an excellent preparation."

He indicated that the need to ensure public safety "was born from a desire for stability and respect", with the constant aim of "progress in a socially fair" and, to that end, the regional government introduced the Plan Safety in the Region of Murcia, "which has helped to achieve in a decade a substantial improvement of security in the whole region".

To this end and under the Plan, the Autonomous Community has made an investment in the period 2006-2011, amounting to more than 89 million euros.

The implementation of the Regional Public Safety Plan allowed under the agreement signed with the City of San Javier, the addition to its staff of 20 new officers.

To mark the 125th anniversary of Santiago de la Ribera, the event ended with a tribute to the members of the local police deaths, which highlighted their dedication and sacrifice in their efforts to serve others.
