The municipality of San Javier library reaches the hospital Los Arcos through Biblio-Hospital project begins operation next November 6 and will consist of the free loan of books between patients and their companions.

The project, which is implemented by a collaboration agreement in the municipality of San Javier and the Hospital Universitario Los Arcos del Mar Menor, was presented this morning at the hospital, as part of its First Week Socio Sanitaria, with the assistance of Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, the medical director of the Area VIII, Mary Soriano, Councillor for Culture of San Javier, Inmaculada Garcia and municipal libraries coordinator, Toni Diaz.
Inmaculada Garcia has placed this project "especially exciting" in the overall objective of encouraging reading library, bringing books to users, "bringing a piece of the library to the hospital", to facilitate and improve, where possible, stay both people and their companions entered, not to mention the therapeutic power of reading.

The library service will run for a first year on Wednesdays from 5-8 pm and Saturday with the same schedule, not to interfere with the operation center physician.
