The Time Bank and Volunteering continues to grow in San Javier, from 350 volunteers enrolled last year at 400 with this course that starts in which the range of courses and workshops of the Time Bank almost doubles the previous touching the 40 workshops that are included in the program released today by the Councillor for Volunteering, Cati Perez, and Time Bank coordinator, Natalia Conesa.
The catalog of workshops of the Time Bank, which starts this week, includes new features as varied as patchwork classes, Tibetan yoga, therapeutic massage, modeling and embossed tin and silver, pilgrims' choir, chess, billiards, English conversation, the world of mathematics, and introduction to philosophy.
All these workshops, weekly added others such as salsa, which began with 30 students, languages, yoga, computer, fabric painting, photography, beading, taichi, fofuchas and guitar, among others.
The weekly workshops, whose enrollment is open throughout the course, complete with other monthly as soap making, automaquillaje and laugh, who have joined as novelty, installation and hardware diagnostics, enhancing self-esteem and other with a title as compelling as "Living day to day without losing the joy."
All workshops are taught by experts in each topic volunteers, at different times of day.
Time Bank case there is no monetary exchange but of time, so that the student must pay with their time, either giving himself some other way, or through voluntary work in multiple areas, according to emerging needs throughout the course.
Both Councillor as technical Cati Natalia Pérez Conesa agreed acknowledge the work of volunteers "who share lives and wisdom," and the overall smooth running of the Time Bank, San Javier which also has the distinction of working collectively and not just individual according to the initial philosophy of the San Javier international initiative implemented pioneered in Spain.
